Dr Manjari Tripathi currently holds the position of Professor, Department of Neurology at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. She completed her training in Neurology from NIMHANS, Bangalore, following which she was awarded the NIH Fellowship in Epilepsy at the prestigious University of California, Los Angeles, USA. She has been the recipient of several other esteemed fellowships such as the American Academy of Sleep Medicine International Scholarship for Sleep Training at the Northwestern University, Chicago and the Penry Minifellowship of the Wake Forest University.
She is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, American Epilepsy Society and American Academy of Sleep Medicine and executive member of the Indian Epilepsy Society. She is a faculty of 1000 with the International League against Epilepsy (ILAE).
Dr Manjari Tripathi has pioneered the cause of epilepsy in India by proposing the National Epilepsy Control Program and formulating the Indian Rural Epilepsy Education and Awareness Program (IREAP) which conducts camps in rural areas of the country and educates the community. She has also been organizing awareness programs for persons with epilepsy on an annual basis.
She also leads the Epilepsy Surgery Program at AIIMS in her unit and heads the (Magneto Encephalography) MEG Center which investigates drug resistant epilepsy persons in collaboration with the National Brain Research Center (NBRC), Manesar.
Dr Tripathi has been working with epilepsy patients for the last 20 years. She has published over 100 articles in reputed journals and continues to do so. Her primary goal is to reduce the treatment gap and stigma associated with epilepsy in India.
Dr Manjari Tripathi is also the President of EKATWAM right since it’s inception.
